Generate Code 128 in Windows Forms Using .NET

Code 128 is capable to encode large amount of data into small space. It is easy to use .NET barcode generation SDK. It can be used as generation DLL and integrated with C#.NET/VB.NET class library for barcode generation.

Create New .NET Project with C#/VB.NET Class library

  1. Open Visual Studio then create an Windows Forms project using C#/VB.NET programming;
  2. Install the .NET barcode generator in Windows Forms.
  3. Change barcode parameters in property setting panel or just input the code sample below to generate Code 128.

VB Codes:

Dim code128 As Aspper.Barcode.Bean.BarCode = New Aspper.Barcode.Bean.BarCode

        code128.Symbology = Aspper.Barcode.Symbology.Code128Auto

        code128.CodeToEncode = “128test”

        code128.X = 2

        code128.ImageFormat = System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Gif()

        code128.ApplicationIndicator = 0

        code128.FNC1 = Aspper.Barcode.FNC1.None

        code128.TildeEnabled = False

C# Codes:

   BarCode code128 = new BarCode();

        code128.Symbology = Aspper.Barcode.Symbology.Code128Auto;

        code128.CodeToEncode = “128data”;

        code128.X = 2;

        code128.ApplicationIndicator = 0;

        code128.FNC1 = Aspper.Barcode.FNC1.None;

        code128.TildeEnabled = false;

Code 128 Code Set A, Code 128 Code Set B and Code 128 Code Set C are supported by this barcode generator.

Generate QR Codes in Windows Forms Using .NET

QR Code is widely used in various applications and it can be easily generated in .NET applications. This .NET barcode component can be used by adding reference on Windows Forms application or just add it as item on toolbox in Visual Studio.

 It is easy to insert QR Codes into ASP.NET, Windows Forms applicaiton.

Create New Winforms with C#/VB.NET Class library

  1. Open Visual Studio then create an Windows Forms project using C#/VB.NET programming;
  2. Install the .NET barcode generator in Windows Forms.
  3. Change barcode parameters in property setting panel or just input the code sample below to generate QR Code.

VB Codes:

Dim qrcode As Aspper.Barcode.Bean.BarCode = New Aspper.Barcode.Bean.BarCode

        qrcode.Symbology = Aspper.Barcode.Symbology.QRCode

        qrcode.CodeToEncode = “QRcode”

        qrcode.X = 4

        qrcode.Y = 4

        qrcode.ImageFormat = System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Png

C# Codes:

   Matrix qrcode = new Matrix();

            qrcode.BarcodeType = MatrixBarcode.Qrcode;

            qrcode.Valid_Data = “Qrcode”;

            qrcode.Version_Qrcode = QrcodeVersion.M4_L;

            qrcode.Bar_Alignment = AlignmentHori.Center;

            qrcode.Auto_Resize = true;

            qrcode.Width_X = 1;

            qrcode.WtoH_Ratio = 1;

How to Insert Barcodes into RDLC with C# Class Library

30 Nov

It is easy to insert linear and 2D barcodes in RDLC reports using Visual Stuio, details below:

  • First, search online and find one which meets for your generation purchase, usually those generators support ASP.NET or Winforms in VS, it depends on you.
  • Second, download the generaiton SDK and install it in Visual Stuio.

Create New ASP.NET Application with C# Class library

  1. Open Visual Studio then create an ASP.NET web form project using C#.NET programming;
  2. Add the RDLC .NET generator as reference of the RDLC project;
  3. Find  “Solution Explorer” then right-click web application to add a class;
  4. .NET programmers are able to use C#.NET codes in  class “APP_Code/Class1.cs” now;

Build New RDLC Reports Solution in Visual Studio

  1. Move to  “Solution Explorer”, and add a report;
  2. Display the “Report Item” in Toolbox, and then insert a table into local RDLC report;
  3. Move to “Website Data Source”, add “Name” and “Price” items to the report;
  4. Create a new “Barcode” column and drag and drop an Image item to it;

Insert Barcode Images in New RDLC Reports

  1.  Set “MIMEType” to “image/jpeg”,”Source” to “Database” and “Value” to “=Fields!Barcode.Value”, and save the report;
  2. Move to “Solution Explorer”, click “Default.aspx” and “View Designer” menu;
  3. Drag “View Designer” to the report, and then choose created report “Report1.rdlc”.
  4. Run the report, generated barcode images will be displayed on the web page.

How to Create Code 39 Image in Winforms Using C#.NET

16 Nov

It is quite easy to create and insert Code 39 into Winforms using C#.NET, but how to modify the image properties related to Code 39?

First, you need to install the .NET barcode generation SDK for Winforms.  Then Add “” to your Winforms project reference. For drag-and-drop implementation, you need to add “WinLinear” to your Visual Studio toolbox.

Now it is possible to change barcode image properties using C#.NET codes or by changing parameters in the property setting panel. Below demonstrates the image properties of Code 39:

Code 39 Barcode Image Color

The background color of the generated code 39 barcode.
Tthe foreground color of the generated Code 39 barcode image. Or you may use the default setting of colors.

Code 39 Barcode Image Image Format

Users are able to generate and print Code 39 barcode images in BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, and TIFF formats.
Set the resolution in DPI of the Code 39 barcode image.
Rotation options include 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees.

Code 39 Barcode Image Image Text

Able to show or hide the human-readable interpretation of Code 39 image.
To set human-readable interpretation color if needed.
Details, please refer to for data and size customization for Code 39 and other popular barcodes in .NET applications.

Print Code 39 in Windows Forms application using C#

13 Nov

I t  is quiet easy to print a Code 39 barcodes in Windows Forms application using barcode font or .NET barcode generation SDK for .NET applications.

1. Search one barcode font or generation control for Code 39. Or some tools able to create linear barcodes are OK.

2. Follow the steps and install the barcode control in Visual Studio.

3. Add this barcode to toolbox of VS and barcode item could be dragged and dropped on to the forms you need.

4. Add this generation SDK as project reference, barcodes could be created easily using C# sample codes.

For example:

BarCode code39 = new BarCode();
code39.Symbology = Symbology.Code39;
code39.Data = "CODE39";
code39.BarcodeImageWidth = 175;
code39.BarcodeImageHeight = 50;
code39.N = 2;
code39.I = 5;
code39.AutoResize = true;
